Tall Shino Luna Moth Jar (B-Grade)
Tall high-fire reduction lidded jar featuring detailed hand-carved insect specific to a genus level depiction of their natural counterpart.
The shino on this batch turned out more matte than regular - pieces were to refired to ensure they had reached maturation temperature. Matte surface texture may have been due to glazed ware resting on a shelf for a couple months before being initially fired / thus mineral surface on the pots having had a longer duration of atmospheric absorption which likely caused the change in fired results. While this is not the intended finish for these piece they are still fully functional, food safe, durable, etc., as regular. Listed as B-Grade to acknowledge results not meeting my preferred standard.
Additional reduction due to drying cracks visible along hind wing tails, sealed with glaze.
*microwave safe, handwash for added longevity
Approximate Dimensions:
26 fl.oz / 6.25” h x 3.5” diameter, 2.25” rim diameter
Contactless order pick-up is available in downtown Victoria.
